Welcome to my space—where transformation happens and dreams are reborn.

I’m Orkuma Hembe, a speaker, coach, trainer, and facilitator with a mission to empower entrepreneurs, leaders, and individuals across Africa to break through barriers and thrive. But my story hasn’t been an easy one. It’s a journey of setbacks, resilience, and ultimate triumph.

I spent years failing in school. In fact, I was stuck in Junior Secondary School 2 for three years because I failed my exams repeatedly. I graduated secondary school with just three credits, and at the time, it felt like the end of the road. But instead of letting those failures define me, I used them as the foundation to rebuild my life. I was withdrawn from the university—an experience that would have broken many—but I refused to let it be my story’s ending.

Over the next 20 years, I faced depression, struggled with addiction, and tried to escape from the pain. But even in my darkest moments, I held on to a burning desire to rise above. I built a successful business and became a C-Suite consultant, author, trainer, and business school owner—all without a university degree. My success was defined long before that piece of paper ever arrived—twenty years after being deprived of my certificate, the university invited me back. Today, I am proud to be a graduate, but my true success had already been achieved through perseverance and a relentless commitment to growth.

Now, my purpose is clear: I’m here to help you see that success is not confined to the classroom nor determined by a certificate. It’s about resilience, innovation, and the relentless pursuit of growth. I am passionate about helping you unlock your full potential, embrace independence, and overcome the fear of failure.

I’ve been through the struggles that you face, and I know the power of transforming setbacks into stepping stones. My mission is to share this journey and the lessons I’ve learned, so you can be equipped to face life with greater determination, self-reliance, and the tools you need to thrive. I invite you to join me on this journey as we challenge the status quo, break free from dependency, and create lasting change in our lives and communities.

This is where your transformation begins, and I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

About Me

From Rock Bottom to C Suite: A Journey of Resilience and Reinvention!

I wasn’t born with a silver spoon, nor was I handed a roadmap to success. My journey has been one of struggle, failure, perseverance, and ultimately, transformation.

Failing Through School I was never the “brilliant student” everyone admired. In fact, I spent three years in JSS 2 because I failed my exams back-to-back.

When I finally managed to graduate from secondary school, I did so with just three credits—a clear message from the system that I wasn’t “good enough.”

But even then, I knew that intelligence wasn’t just about passing exams.

Dreams Shattered Despite my academic struggles, I fought my way into the university. I had dreams, ambitions, and the desire to create a better future.

But just when I thought my life was on track, everything came crashing down. I was withdrawn from the university under unclear circumstances.

I had no control over the decision, no explanation, just the brutal reality that my education had been taken away from me.

For the next 20 years, I struggled. Depression, alcoholism, and chain smoking became my escape. I felt lost, unworthy, and defeated. I had no degree, no clear path, and no idea how to rebuild my life.

Rebuilding Myself from the Ground Up But even in my darkest moments, I refused to let life defeat me.

I knew that if I couldn’t go through the front door, I would build my own path. I became an entrepreneur, a coach, a business consultant, and a trainer not because of a certificate but because of real-world experience, relentless learning, and a refusal to give up.

I founded businesses, trained leaders, and became a C-Suite Consultant, coaching executives, entrepreneurs, and professionals across Africa.

I built a career on competence, resilience, and a deep understanding of human potential—things no school ever taught me.

And then, as if life had come to a full circle, the university that once withdrew me re-invited and readmitted me after 20 years.

Today, I am a graduate. But here’s the truth: long before that certificate arrived, I had already defined my success.

A Mission to Transform Education and Mindsets My story is not unique.

It is the story of millions who have been failed by an outdated education system—one that prioritizes certificates over competence, memorization over mastery, and obedience over innovation.

To help people break free from the limitations of traditional education and dependency-driven systems.

Through my work as a speaker, coach, trainer, and facilitator, I empower individuals to think independently, embrace failure as a stepping stone, and create success on their own terms.

I believe that education should be about skills, mindset, resilience, and adaptability.

I believe that success is not about where you start but about how you rise.

I stand as living proof that failure is not final—and neither is a lack of formal education.

🚀 Join me as we rethink education, redefine success, and build a future where competence, innovation, and independence take centre stage.
